Celebrate International Women’s Day with an intimate program of music by pioneering women composers, performed by violinist Laura Colgate, co-founder and Executive/Artistic Director of Boulanger Initiative, and pianist Audrey Andrist, acclaimed for her “stunning dexterity” and adventurous approach to modern and historical repertoire.
The program includes D’un matin de printemps (Of A Spring Morning) by BI's namesake Lili Boulanger, highlights the works of Price and Chaminade, and ends with Amy Beach's tour de force Sonata in A minor.
This concert is a celebration of composers whose voices, despite marginalization, shaped and continue to shape the classical canon. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the women of classical music with Boulanger Initiative on Sunday, March 8th at 3:30 PM. There is limited seating at the venue for this free event — RSVP early!
